I’ll take what I can! | Northwest Arkansas Children Photographer

Posted on November 26, 2008

Something akin to a miracle happened this week. The two oldest of my little brood of children decided they wanted to have their pictures taken. Being the children of a photographer, these two would rather eat broccoli than have to face a camera. I didn’t care they they needed to brush their hair, were dressed rather haphazardly or only gave me ten minutes. The light was beautiful and I was going to take advantage of it all!

Here are my little ragmuffin babies with some yummy golden light. Enjoy!

Yeah, she looks a little scared in this one. I think she finally realized she was allowing herself to be photographed. ;)

I got a few of him by himself before Miss Copycat had to see what all the fuss was about.

I promise he does smile. :)

I just had to be the proud mama for a moment and show off my kids. They are gorgeous, you know.

Little Man J | Northwest Arkansas Baby Photographer

Posted on November 23, 2008

Little J’s mom is a friend to one of my oldest friends, so when she was looking for a photographer for her adorable son, my name was mentioned. I’m so happy it was because this little guy was one of the cutest baby boys I’ve seen in awhile. I promised his mom and dad that I would have a little teaser up today.

Is he not just the cutest little guy?!!

I’m sure I’ll post more later as he is just too sweet.

Announcing Boudoir Collection | Northwest Arkansas Boudoir Photography

Posted on November 10, 2008

Now that it is getting colder and outdoor sessions aren’t nearly as fun, it is the perfect time to start focusing on the indoors. For Raining Light Photography, this time of year usually means two things: boudoir sessions and portrait parties! Of course, you can still book a normal session during the winter months. In fact, I love the challenge of creating fun and unique images of your family in your own home. I’ll address that more a bit in a future post. This one is just to announce a few things about boudoir sessions. A post with more details about portrait parties will come later.

I’ve had inquiries as to when I’m going to unveil my new boudoir collection, especially with Valentine’s Day around the corner. After much discussion with a few of my past boudoir clients, I’ve discovered that most get very excited about the albums I offer and love the idea of their images in a beautiful book. Not only does it make for a great gift, but it is a wonderful way to be able to show off the gorgeous images all in one place. And, let’s face it, while we may want to be able to show off sexy images of ourselves, do we really want a huge canvas over the bed? (Well, some might!) Albums are easy to whip out and show off how sexy and gorgeous you can be without worrying about your mother-in-law coming over and catching a glimpse of you in your undies.

The boudoir collection will include my time and artistic vision, extra special detail in making you look your best, an 8×8 leather album, and a $50 print credit for $275! The holidays are right around the corner and if you want to book a session as a gift for Christmas, please note that all orders must be into my lab by the 1st of December, and there is limited availability.

I love doing boudoir sessions. Something about showing a woman that she IS sexy, beautiful and gorgeous just really makes me happy. We all deserve to feel special and I think boudoir sessions are a great way to accomplish that. And they are so much fun! Lots of talk and laughter. Want to get a bunch of girlfriends together, rent a hotel and all do boudoir sessions? Let me know and everyone will get $25 off their collection price!

Mrs. M | Northwest Arkansas Boudoir Photography

Posted on November 6, 2008

This sweet lady and I met in a somewhat unusual way- she married my boyfriend from college! They are simply adorable together and I’m really glad that they found each other. She wanted to get boudoir portraits done because they had recently decided to start trying for a baby. A little last minute sexiness with the ‘old body,’ if you will. We actually talked about how she could possibly pregnant while we were shooting! I got an email a couple of weeks later telling me that, in fact, they were expecting a wee one! I’m very excited for them and know that they will make fantastic parents. I hope the baby has her red hair! :)

Here are a few of my favorites of the day. As always, I have full permission to post these photos and there is nothing revealed that you wouldn’t see at a beach. :) Enjoy!

This next one is a favorite for both of us.

Does she not have the best red hair?! I love it.

Congratulations, guys, on the pregnancy. I can’t wait to watch it all unfold.
