Thank You, A Senior Story | Northwest Arkansas Senior Photographer
Posted on October 29, 2010
I put out s very short notice call on facebook for a potential model to come and help me test some things out. I got lucky because Bailey couldn’t have been a better model. Totally patient with me and laughed and all my dorky quirks. It was great. I’m looking forward to when we do a real session with her. But until then, here is what we got:
Gorgeous, is she not? I love this session.

Cousins and Pumpkins and Rain, Oh My! | Northwest Arkansas Lifestyle Photographer
Posted on October 24, 2010
Sometimes my sister likes to come over with short notice to do some sort of fun activity with the kids. Yesterday, as I was elbows deep in editing, she calls and says that she has pumpkins and will be over soon. I decided to take a little break and let the kids go crazy because, hey, they are only young once, right? Have to enjoy them while I can.
So, we dressed them up in cozy Halloween inspired pjs, threw a pumpkin hat on the baby, and ran outside to try and get a group shot of them. We were missing Blaze and my brother’s three kiddos.
Unfortunately, the sky decided to cut our photo session short by releasing rain, so this is the best we got.
They are so cute.
Then it was time to use foam cutouts to make some Halloween decorations and then carve some pumpkins. Autumn couldn’t find any of the stencils as a guideline and I haven’t hooked up the new printer to my new computer (but already stowed away the old one. Not sure what I was thinking on that one), so I just decided to freehand whatever designs the kids wanted. They picked a bat, a butterfly, a princess, and a jack-o-lantern. Um, yeah, the jack-o-lantern turned out the best. I guess when I’m drawing, the other designs just do not translate well into a carving! We had fun, though, which is all that matters!
You can see a peek at our humble fall decorations up on the kiddos’ art wall. We gathered up leaves to hang up with the paintings. We also have pine cones peeking out from various places about the house.
Tatum was a little grossed out by the pumpkin guts and quickly decided she wanted NOTHING to do with it. At all. She did scoop one handful out and then burst into tears. Yay, experiences!
Yeah, that pumpkin on the right is supposed to be the princess. I wanted to draw it in profile, which is why you can see a bit of the nose, but then Tatum decided it HAD to be from the front. It looks much better in the dark and glowing. No worries, folks, we are going to a pumpkin patch this week with Daddy and are going to attempt to do better pumpkins. With stencils. And much better results than these DIY pumpkins that I’ve created.
I hope all of you are enjoying the great fall weather!

Shandi and Kevin | Northwest Arkansas Wedding Photography
Posted on October 21, 2010
I had the pleasure of shooting a gorgeous wedding on Sunday at Creekwood Gardens. The place looked amazing. Crystal chandeliers hung from the trees, every table was adorned with a variety of yellow pretties, and the cake looked delicious. Shandi and Kevin are such a cute couple. And the way he looks at her is so amazing. It’s very sweet. I adored every minute of my time with them as they moved through one of the most important days of their life together.
Here are a few moments that I’d like to share.
Congratulations, Shandi and Kevin!

Baby Blue Eyes | Northwest Arkansas Lifestyle Photographer
Posted on October 13, 2010
Someone is really cute. Someone has the blue, blue eyes of her sister and father. Someone likes to clap, play ‘Big Girl’ (throwing her hands up in the air) and playing ball. Someone likes blocks, eating, singing to us in her sweet little voice, and crawling all over the place. Someone is teething. Someone let me cuddle her for a half an hour in the middle of the night because no other soothing would do. It was really sweet.
Someone turns a year old oh so soon.
