365- The First 12 Days | Northwest Arkansas Portrait Photographer

Posted on July 30, 2011

Well, I did it.

I started my 365 and I’m having a blast doing it.

Here are my first 12 days.

You can see them bigger on my Flickr stream, HERE

I’m really proud of a lot of these. And I can’t even tell you how much fun they are for me to create. I love being able to do whatever I want for them. Creepy, funny, elaborate, just whatever I feel like for that day!

We will be camping for a few days next week so I’m not sure how much time I will be able to devote to taking the photos, but I’ll still take them!

Thanks for looking!

Here we go again | Northwest Arkansas Portrait Photographer

Posted on July 19, 2011

Once upon a time, when I first began my own little photography journey, I began the first of what would become many attempts to complete a 365 project.  One photo a day.  For a year.

My first attempt was the longest at 177 days from Oct of 06 to June of 07.

I’ve tried six more times since then and never, ever, ever finished.

I was encouraged, though, by my last attempt at 102 days.

(Much better than attempts 3-6.  ;) )

Sooooo, I am going to try again!

(drum roll, fanfare)

No make-up.

No skin smoothing.

A very simple start.  :)

50 years | Northwest Arkansas Event Photographer

Posted on July 3, 2011

Can you imagine being with your love for fifty years?

I was asked recently to photograph the 50th wedding celebration for the grandparents of such a fun and close knit family.  They had three boys who in turn each had ALL girls.

It was such a hilarious night.  I adored how  you could feel the love and could see how much fun they all had together, because really, isn’t that what family is all about?
