Another Year Comes to An End…| Northwest Arkansas Portrait Photographer
Posted on December 31, 2011
It’s that time again.
The end of one year
and
the beginning of another.
A small look back at what happened with RLP this year.
I did a lot of boudoir this year, too, but can’t really show all that hotness.
And I want to say thank you, thank you, thank you to all my dear clients. You guys are the reason for all these beautiful photos. You guys are amazing.
Yes, it has been a pretty great year.
I’ve said hello to some new babies,
celebrated with couples getting married,
and spent time with some fabulous families.
But it has also been a bitter sweet year.
Emilie, the amazing mom in the above photo, lost her fight with a brain tumor this year.
I want to spend 2012 living the legacy she left behind.
“We should all be so in love with each day.”
Don’t think that is a beautiful way to live?
I do.
See you in 2012, my friends!!

Together | Northwest Arkansas Family Photographer
Posted on December 29, 2011
One of the best things about the holidays is how
it brings everyone together.
Sometimes families only get to be all under one roof just once or twice a year.
That’s where I come in.
I had the pleasure of meeting up with this very fun family the day after Christmas to capture some portraits
while everyone was together for the holiday.
It was supposed to be a beautiful day.
( I know because I stalked the weather all week.)
But, as crazy Arkansas is known to do, the weather turned icky on us.
No worries, we just worked with a gorgeous house instead.
Here are just a few of the photos we took.
These two kiddos were super cute and hilarious.
Oh! And Frank. I love Frank.
I want one of my very own.
Who doesn’t love a Wet Willy?
(me)

Everyone should have a photo like this with their grandparents.
(I love the sibling love, don’t you?)
Story time!
(And those were two awesome books, too. I shall be picking up copies for my kids ASAP.)

And the winner is….| northwest arkansas wedding photographer

My internet is out. This old house and my modem hate rain and tend to drop the net whenever it even looks like rain. So, since I’m on my phone, this shall be short and sweet. (I know, first world problem, right?)
Anyway, I have a photo that I took of the official end poll results at 11:59 last night, but I will have to wait until my modem will play nice again. But I can announce that with a total of 910 votes, Juliana and Colby are the winners! Yay!! Congratulations!
I will send out some information to you soon!

Vote for the Winners! | Northwest Arkansas Wedding Photographer
Posted on December 12, 2011
update: voting ended
Happy anniversary to me!
My sweet John and I have been together for eight years.
It really doesn’t seem that long on most days.
On others, it seems MUCH longer.
I had a lot of fun reading the nominations for my Wedding Photography Giveaway.
I received a few nominations that didn’t follow all of the rules (both a letter and a photo)
even after follow-up emails and couldn’t be officially entered into the contest.
This makes me sad.
But I am incredibly happy to introduce our two contestants.

You can vote with the handy dandy poll at the top of this post.
Voting will be open until 11:59 on Tuesday the 13th.
Good luck!

Golden Leaves | Northwest Arkansas Portrait Photographer
Posted on December 2, 2011
I’ve mentioned my 365 self portrait project a few times.
Yesterday’s photo was taken after a bunch of
random shots of this tree in our front yard.
I really adore it, especially when the sun shines through it.
Every year I say I’m going to take some photos of it and I never do.
I’m glad I finally did.
There is one branch, just one, that turns red while the rest is gold.
I love that little branch.
The top right photo is the one that I ended up picking for the day,
but I really like the one on the left, too.
Winter is almost here.
brr.
