Well, I was really hoping to have my son’s birthday letter and a photo session with him today,
but he has a social engagement.
Fourteen year olds.
Geez.

Instead,
I will share this self-portrait I took with the girls this winter.
We were all in need of a shower.
I have on zero make-up.
My room is a mess.
(And actually doesn’t look like that anymore.)
And you can see my sewing kit and a really, really, really old canvas
we got from one of our very first official family photos.
(How old?
The fourteen year old was only six!! )

I don’t care about any of that.
I just care about the fun we had, the giggles, and the love.

I love how real it is.
That’s what I love so much about lifestyle sessions in the home.
It’s a very real slice out of your life.

This little slice of my life will soon be hanging up in my room.

Tates has recently watched Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer
and is a bit obsessed.
This was her ‘Not Bummer Summer or Spring’
check list for thrill points.
They also pulled out tons of blankets to
turn the trampoline into a clubhouse.
It’s not the best photo from a technical standpoint, but she was just too adorable.)

Juliana + Colby | Northwest Arkansas Engagement Photographer

These two lovely people were the winners of my wedding giveaway.
I feel so lucky because they are seriously two of the nicest, sweetest people ever.

He is soft spoken and his love for her is apparent in his every move.
She is more out going and looks at him with this utter adoration that makes me smile.

I hope you enjoy these as much as I do.

And this last one just might be one of my fave photos to date. I just got done telling John that I want a canvas of it to hang in my non-existent studio.
